CAMPUS SUMMARY
Mission Statement
The Salt Lake • Tooele Applied Technology College provides rewarding, competency-based, affordable, and accessible career preparation for youth and adults that meets the needs of Utah employers.

Serving the Salt Lake Valley
The Salt Lake • Tooele Applied Technology College or SLTATC is one of nine campuses that make up the Utah College of Applied Technology (UCAT). Each campus-college serves a specific geographic region within the state. The SLTATC serves Salt Lake and Tooele Counties.

The SLTATC serves the students, adults, and businesses of the Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. Our customer base includes over 54,000 9th – 12th grade high school students (more than 38% of Utah’s eligible high school students) and over 944,000 residents (over 42% of Utah’s total population). Many of Utah’s largest and most vibrant businesses are also located within our service area.

To meet the needs of our customers, SLTATC currently has three primary locations. These locations provide training opportunities in information technologies, medical technologies, transportation technologies, media design, and business skills. Because of equipment requirements, not every program or course is offered at each location. The SLTATC also has partnerships with additional organizations and institutions to provide training at locations outside of our campuses, including Horizonte High School, Granite High School, Granite Technical Institute, and the Clark N. Johnsen Jr. High in Tooele.

The Salt Lake • Tooele Applied Technology College is committed to becoming an integral and dynamic part of our community. We will do this by providing the best possible technical training to meet the changing, on-going needs of students, adults, and businesses.
